A family restaurant in Ivano-Frankivsk is located on one of the busiest streets of the city, among the architectural buildings of different eras. Samoriz design studio worked on the establishment with an area of 148 m2 under the direction of Mikhail Samoriz. A family restaurant in Ivano-Frankivsk is located on one of the busiest streets of the city, among the architectural buildings of different eras. Samoriz design studio worked on the establishment with an area of 148 m2 under the direction of Mikhail Samoriz. As a result: the design space, where aesthetics and comfort are professionally mixed, has become a real shelter from the city bustle and noise. You can get to the restaurant from the main street, a walk along which is a tradition of the city residents and its guests. Actually, this is how the name of the institution appeared - “Promenade” (from French “walk”).

The main goal of the design team was to embody the idea of practicality and aestheticism in the project. A space in the minimalist style was created for those who want to enjoy the atmosphere, the moment and the company, without being distracted by unnecessary details. That is why the interior is implemented in warm light and pastel colors and decorated with natural materials and textures.

The design of the restaurant is also interesting because it presents three important trends in the interior of public institutions today.

1. Mix of materials in finishing.
Designers combined different textures into one open space: acoustic wood panels, a raw brick wall and a soft, undulating seating area. This arrangement of materials and textures makes the interior more interesting.

2. A variety of furniture.
Armchairs, chairs, tables of different sizes, shapes and heights are a popular trend in the interior. Identical models are in the past. Now it is the furniture that helps to highlight the necessary areas, to zone the space. And our armchairs and cafe chairs helped the designers to cope with these tasks. They occupy an important place in this project, because the entire seating is built around them - for the convenience of guests, various types and areas of accommodation are provided.

3. Eco accents.
Natural materials in decoration are already a well-established trend that cannot be ignored. In the Promenade, the designers placed two large tables (for 12 people) made of a solid thirty-year-old oak, there is also a spectacular green wall (vertical garden) - these are accent lures.

“It is important to note one more feature of the interior - an open wood-burning stove. It fulfills its practical function (cooking traditional Italian pizza), at the same time serves as an element of decor and adds coziness, which needed to be strengthened, because, let me remind you that we worked with a family-style restaurant. We also took care of the details that the guests of the establishment do not immediately notice, but they are very important for creating maximum comfort - the lighting scenario. It is represented by lens LED lamps with a narrow dispersion angle and with a honeycomb louvre filter, which contributes to a softer beam of light. But the main source of light is the panoramic windows that overlook the main street. Despite the minimalism, the project is not devoid of interesting art objects; lamps in the form of drops of mercury metal with a caustic effect draw attention to themselves,” says Mikhail Samoriz, head of the Samoriz design studio.
