HD-m2 studio has created a new design project for Kiev restaurant Gremio Grill, which specializes in tasty and healthy food cooked on fire. It took the designers one month, rock salt straight from Soledar, three types of furniture to provide enough seating in a small space, and custom designs for a unique visual style.

The style of the interior was determined by the premises in which the restaurant is located - an old house, where beautiful bricks and a concrete ceiling are well preserved. Therefore, the designers decided to create a modern loft, as it perfectly suited the format of the establishment and meant a minimum of expenses for repair work on walls and ceilings (which also significantly saved time). And the main unwritten truth of the loft “everything that is aged by time looks great and does not need to be embellished” played into the hands.

The main materials in the space are natural brick, concrete and stainless steel. But since the concept of the project is tied to the restaurant’s kitchen (natural meat), the designers designed the interior in such a way that it harmonized with the general idea, using natural wood, leather (as curtains, partitions and furniture upholstery) and rock salt.

The restaurant’s premises are small, but it was necessary to include a “living kitchen” with jospers and a cooking area on the fire, a bathroom, and also provide the required number of seats. To do this, the authors of the project used three types of tables: bar, wooden and wall stainless steel. And Mayer Horeca Group's professional models of chairs made of light solid beech helped to achieve the desired result in zoning a space of 77 sq.m, emphasizing naturalness and style. The project is also interesting for its design details: the bar counter is made of natural rock salt, which was delivered from Soledar, straight from the quarry. And in the center of the hall there is a large wooden table with a concrete flowerpot with a real olive tree.

“The most difficult moment in working on the project was the timing: we had to do everything in a month. Therefore, we had to work a lot and without days off. But we are not afraid of such challenges! In two weeks, all visualizations and a set of engineering drawings were ready, and we started the repair. It should be noted that 45 days have passed from the first meeting with the customer and the signing of the contract to the opening day of the restaurant. During this time, we managed to create a stylish project that met all the expectations of the client, and fill the interior with exclusive details. For example, outdoor tables are our idea, they have a tapered concrete leg and removable tops made of natural wood. The sink, poured out of concrete, and with a soap dispenser provided in it, is also an author's work. Two faucets descend to it from the ceiling, into which water enters already warm through a thermostat, ”- the HD-m2 studio team.
